VEBA BOHEMIA proudly continues the rich heritage of textile production in the heart of Europe, dating back to the 13th century. The brand represents more than 150 years of experience in industrial weaving and finishing which started in 1856 and has reached today's excellence.

Significant investments into the latest weaving and finishing technologies from the world’s most respected suppliers from Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria have enhanced our position as one of the largest Jacquard producers in Europe.
Currently, our highly efficient machinery enables us to produce more than 15 million metres of first-rate 100% cotton fabrics with an annual turnover of more than 100 million USD.

1856 Foundation

Benedikt Schroll‘s first mechanical weaving mill opened in Broumov. This was the beginning of the industrial production of textiles in the region.

The export-oriented production increased thanks to the modernization of the machinery park.

After World War I, the position of Benedikt Schroll, one of the most successful local exporters, strengthened due to the upgrade of the machinery technology.

1949 National Enterprise

Veba Broumov, the National Enterprise, was established. The products of Schroll’s successor, of which more than 60% were exported, gained an excellent reputation abroad.

1975 Jacquard Field Leader

Veba´s new weaving mills were already one of the largest Jacquard weaving mills in Europe.

1990s Successful Privatization

Following the successful privatization, Veba transformed into a joint-stock company in 1992 and was gradually acquired by new owners.
